  • 1 cup old-fashioned oats
  • 1/2 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter or almond butter
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans)
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mash 2-3 ripe bananas in a large mixing bowl until smooth.
  3. Combine the mashed bananas with 1 cup of rolled oats, 1/2 cup of honey or maple syrup, and a pinch of salt. Stir until well mixed.
  4. Fold in any extras like chocolate chips or nuts if desired.
  5. Spread the mixture evenly into a greased baking dish.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
  7. Cool the bars in the pan for at least 10 minutes before slicing them into squares.
