Description

Deliciously creamy garlic mashed potatoes that are perfect for any meal.


Ingredients

  • 2 pounds potatoes
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/3 cup sour cream
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp chopped parsley

Instructions

  1. Peel and cut potatoes into chunks and boil with garlic cloves in salted water for 15 minutes until fork tender then drain well.
  2. Mash hot potatoes and garlic until smooth breaking down all lumps before adding dairy.
  3. Add butter and let it melt then gradually mix in milk and sour cream until creamy adjusting for texture.
  4. Season with salt and pepper and mash gently just until combined to avoid overmixing.
  5. Serve warm with parsley and extra butter if desired.

  • For extra flavor, consider adding roasted garlic.
  • Adjust the amount of milk for desired creaminess.
