Ingredients

  • 1 cup mascarpone cheese
  • 1/2 cup limoncello
  • 24 savoiardi (ladyfingers)
  • 2 fresh lemons (zest and juice)
  • 3 large eggs (room temperature)
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, blend room-temperature mascarpone cheese with granulated sugar until smooth. Gradually add egg yolks, mixing gently.
  2. Stir in limoncello and lemon zest for flavor.
  3. Quickly dip each ladyfinger into a mix of limoncello and lemon juice, then layer them in a rectangular dish.
  4. Spread half of the cream mixture over the ladyfingers, then repeat layering until all ingredients are used.
  5. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight. Dust with cocoa powder before serving.
