Description

Deliciously roasted cabbage steaks brushed with garlic butter and seasoned to perfection.


Ingredients

  • 1 head green cabbage
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves minced garlic
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Remove outer leaves and cut cabbage into 1-inch thick slices to create steaks.
  3. Place cabbage slices on a baking sheet and brush both sides with olive oil.
  4. In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter, then add minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  5. Brush the garlic butter mixture evenly over both sides of the cabbage steaks.
  6. Sprinkle salt, black pepper, and smoked paprika over the cabbage steaks.
  7. Roast in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, then flip each steak and roast for an additional 10 minutes or until edges are golden.
  8. Remove from oven and sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley and red pepper flakes.
  9. Serve immediately while warm.
